## Where do I find each part of the app?

On a computer, use the left sidebar: **Dashboard**, **Activity**, and **Notifications**. Click your name/email at the bottom left for account actions such as **Manage subscription**, **Referrals**, **Support**, and **Sign out**. Subscription and referral actions appear when your account is eligible.

On a phone, use the bottom navigation: the home icon is **Dashboard**, the activity icon opens **Activity**, the bell opens **Notifications**, and the person icon opens **Profile**. **Profile** contains account actions. You can also open [https://app.idlepilot.com/activity](https://app.idlepilot.com/activity) or [https://app.idlepilot.com/notifications](https://app.idlepilot.com/notifications) after signing in.

## Where are my work hours?

Open **Dashboard** and scroll to the **Work Hours** card beneath your connected workplace. The large switch beside Work Hours controls the whole schedule; each day also has its own switch. **Edit** changes hours for one or several days. To change the time zone, choose **Edit**, then click the current zone under **Timezone**.

## What does Active mean?

Idle Pilot is currently maintaining availability for your connected workplace. **Active until** shows when that active period is due to end. You can close Idle Pilot and your computer after setup; the schedule continues while your account and workplace connection remain usable.

## What do Paused, Inactive, On break, and Resumes mean?

Read the explanation beside the status. **Schedule is off** means the Work Hours switch is off. **On break** means the saved lunch break is in progress. **Resumes** shows the next expected active time. **Auto-paused** can reflect Slack Vacation Mode. An access or connection warning requires the action shown above the dashboard. These states do not all mean that you need to reconnect.

## How do I know if it is working?

On **Dashboard**, find the connected-workplace card and choose **Is this working?**. The guide explains a check for your chosen platform. While Dashboard says **Active**, set Slack to Away or Teams to Away/Offline and check whether availability returns. You can also observe the indicator from another workplace account. Use **Activity** to review when Idle Pilot ran.

## Where can I check the workspace or person I connected?

The connected-workplace card on **Dashboard** shows the workplace name and the linked person. Check it before editing the schedule or switching accounts. Your Idle Pilot login email and your connected workplace email can be different.

## How do I switch to another workspace or platform?

1. Open Idle Pilot on a computer and go to **Dashboard**.
2. On the connected-workplace card, choose **Switch**.
3. Choose **Connect another workspace**.
4. Select Slack or Microsoft Teams and complete the connection for the intended account.
5. Once the new account is confirmed, check the workplace card, Work Hours, and time zone before relying on the schedule.

The previous account remains connected until the replacement succeeds. You cannot maintain both at once. A cancelled or unsuccessful new setup does not count as a successful switch. Switching does not cancel billing or normally restart a trial.

## How do I disconnect my workplace account?

On **Dashboard**, choose **Switch → Remove** on the workplace card. Read **Remove this workspace?** and choose **Remove** to confirm. Choose **Cancel** to keep it. Removal stops Idle Pilot for that workplace and disconnects it; you can connect again later. Your subscription is not cancelled by this action.

If an expired-connection or ended-access warning makes the dashboard unavailable, use the warning's reconnect/payment action or ask Support for help. Do not assume a dimmed Remove control has completed a removal.

## How do I stop being kept available right now?

On **Dashboard**, switch **Work Hours** off. This pauses Idle Pilot; Slack or Teams then handles your availability normally. To deliberately appear Away, set Away in the workplace app after pausing Idle Pilot. Signing out of Idle Pilot or closing its browser tab does not turn the schedule off.

## Where do I manage payment or cancel?

Computer: click your name/email at the bottom left, then **Manage subscription**. Phone: open **Profile → Manage subscription**. The subscription-management page lets you review the subscription and choose its cancellation action. Finish the confirmation, then return to Dashboard and check the ending date. Turning Work Hours off is a different action and does not stop renewal charges.

If you already removed your workplace and are back on the connection screen, the account menu and Profile navigation are unavailable there. Use the support launcher or email [hi@idlepilot.com](mailto:hi@idlepilot.com) to ask for cancellation help. Ask for explicit confirmation; a chat request alone does not confirm cancellation.

## Why can I not see Manage subscription or Referrals?

These menu entries are shown for an active paid subscription. During the free trial, use **Subscribe to keep access** on desktop or **Subscribe** on mobile, or **See pricing** if that is the action shown on Dashboard. With an ended subscription, use **Resubscribe**. With a payment problem, use **Update payment**. Also check that you signed in with the same Idle Pilot email you used to subscribe. Ask Support if a paid account still lacks the expected action.

## Why is my dashboard dimmed or locked?

Look for a warning above it. If it says **Re-link Slack** or **Re-link Microsoft Teams**, follow that connection action on a computer. If your trial or paid access ended, use the displayed **Subscribe**, **Resubscribe**, or payment action. Your saved settings do not by themselves grant active access.

## Where can I see past activity?

Choose **Activity** in the sidebar or the activity icon at the bottom on a phone. The weekly view shows recorded Active, Break, Paused, and Away periods and recent events. Use the left/right arrows to change weeks; click the displayed date range to return to this week. You cannot navigate beyond the current week. Select a day to focus the displayed activity on that day.

## Why is Activity empty?

If you see **Nothing here yet**, your schedule may not have run yet. Return to Dashboard and check that Work Hours is on, the current day/time is included, and no connection or access warning needs attention. If Activity cannot load, choose **Retry**. Activity records Idle Pilot's availability changes, not documents edited, messages read, or proof of work.

## Where are notification settings?

Open **Notifications**, then choose the gear button labelled **Notification settings**. On a phone it is in the top bar; on desktop it is above the notification list. Switch optional email categories on or off there. Changes save as you make them; there is no separate Save button.

## How do I add Idle Pilot to my home screen?

If the app offers **Install**, choose it and follow your browser's instructions. On iPhone/iPad, use the browser's **Share → Add to Home Screen** action when offered. Other browsers may show **Install app** or **Add to Home Screen** in their menu. This is a convenient way to open Idle Pilot; it does not replace the one-time desktop workplace connection.

## How do I sign out?

Computer: click your name/email at the bottom left, choose **Sign out**, and confirm the dialog. Phone: open **Profile → Sign out** and confirm. Sign-out protects access to the app on that device; it does not cancel your subscription, remove the workplace connection, or stop a saved active schedule. Turn Work Hours off first if you also want to pause presence.
