## How do I turn the schedule on or off?

Open **Dashboard → Work Hours** and use the switch beside the Work Hours heading. On means Idle Pilot follows the enabled days and times. Off pauses the whole schedule without erasing the saved hours or cancelling billing. Outside an enabled period, look at the dashboard's next resume time.

## How do I set different hours for different days?

1. Open **Dashboard → Work Hours**.
2. Choose **Edit**, or the pencil beside a specific day.
3. In **Edit Work Hours**, select the day or days you want to change.
4. Set **From** and **To**. Add a lunch break if needed.
5. Choose **Apply to 1 day** or **Apply to N days**, depending on the selection.
6. Review the day rows on Dashboard and make sure the main Work Hours switch is on.

For example, apply 9:00am–5:00pm to Monday through Thursday, then edit Friday separately to end earlier. Applying changes enables the selected days. Unselected days keep their previous settings.

## How do I change several days at once?

Choose **Work Hours → Edit** and select the relevant day checkboxes. **Weekdays** selects Monday–Friday; **None** clears the selection so you can choose specific days. Set hours and break, then choose **Apply to N days**. Check which days are selected before applying: the changes affect all of them.

## How do I turn weekends or a particular day off?

In the **Work Hours** card, switch off the control beside that day. Do this separately for Saturday and Sunday if you do not want weekend presence. Leave the main Work Hours switch on to keep other enabled days running. To enable that day again, switch its control back on and review its saved times.

## Can I add a lunch break to my schedule?

Choose **Work Hours → Edit**, select the affected day or days, turn on **Lunch break**, and choose **Break start** and **Break end**. Review **From** and **To** before choosing **Apply to N days**: the edit saves hours and break together and enables the selected days. Use separate edits for days with different work hours. Idle Pilot pauses during the break and resumes afterward if the work window is still open and your account is ready to run. Slack or Teams can still show you active because of your own activity during a break.

## How do I remove or change a lunch break?

Edit the affected days. To remove it, turn **Lunch break** off; to change it, leave Lunch break on and adjust the two break times. Review **From** and **To**, then apply: this saves the hours and break together and enables every selected day. Use separate edits for days with different hours. Changing Monday alone does not change the other days unless you select them too.

## Why is Apply disabled?

Select at least one day, make sure **From** is earlier than **To**, and check that the break starts before it ends and fits inside the work hours. The screen shows **Start time must be earlier than end time** or **Break must be within active time** when those values need fixing. Apply is also unavailable while saving.

## What time choices are available?

The current Work Hours editor offers half-hour choices from 6:00am through 11:00pm. The end must be later than the start on the same day. The screen does not offer arbitrary minute entry, multiple work windows per day, or an overnight end earlier than the start. Ask Support if the available choices do not fit your needs; do not assume a setting exists outside those controls.

## Can I create multiple breaks or split shifts?

Each enabled day has one start/end work window and one optional lunch break. You can use that break to pause inside the window. Multiple independent breaks, multiple work windows, and overnight windows are not offered by the current editor.

## How do I change the time zone?

1. Open **Dashboard → Work Hours → Edit**.
2. Under **Timezone**, click the current zone.
3. In **Select Timezone**, use **Search timezones** to find a city, region, or time-zone name.
4. Select the matching result to save the time zone. The picker closes; no Apply step is needed for the zone.
5. If you are not changing hours or breaks, choose **Cancel** to close Edit Work Hours without applying those fields. Review the displayed zone, daily hours, and next resume time.

The selected zone determines what your saved hours mean. For example, 9:00am means 9:00am in that zone, not necessarily where your phone currently is.

## What should I do when travelling?

Open Work Hours and decide whether to keep your usual work zone or use the destination's zone. Change the time zone explicitly if needed and review the daily hours. Do not assume that a flight, a new device, or your browser clock automatically changes the saved schedule. Billing currency is a separate preference.

## What about daylight saving time?

Choose the named time zone that matches the work location you intend to follow, rather than treating a displayed UTC offset as permanently fixed. Review the next resume time around clock changes or travel. If it looks wrong, check the selected zone and hours before reconnecting the workplace account.

## What happens if I turn off Idle Pilot?

Turning the main Work Hours switch off stops Idle Pilot maintaining availability. Your workplace app handles its status normally afterward. This does not force a particular status if you are actively using Slack or Teams, and it does not cancel your subscription. Turn the switch back on when you want the saved schedule to resume.

## Can I change my schedule after setup?

Yes. Open Dashboard and edit Work Hours, enabled days, break, or time zone whenever your routine changes. Review the dashboard's status after saving. If you close **Edit Work Hours** with **Cancel**, pending day, hour, and break changes are not applied. A time-zone selection saves separately as soon as you select it and is not undone by Cancel.

## Does the schedule run while I am signed out or the browser is closed?

Yes, after a successful workplace connection it runs independently of your open Idle Pilot page. Close your browser, switch devices, or sign out without needing to keep a tab active. To stop it, turn **Work Hours** off, disable the relevant day, or remove the workplace connection.

## Can I keep using Slack or Teams normally?

Yes. You can work in Slack or Teams during scheduled hours. Idle Pilot's role is availability, not typing or replying for you. If you deliberately need a different availability state, pause Work Hours first and set the desired status in Slack or Teams. Do not assume that a manually chosen Away state will remain while Idle Pilot is Active.

## What should happen at the end of the day?

Idle Pilot stops maintaining availability at the saved end time. Slack or Teams then determines availability normally. If you are still using the workplace app, it can remain active. Review **Dashboard** for the next scheduled resume time rather than expecting the app to force you offline.

## Can I change my hours and breaks later?

Yes. Open **Dashboard → Work Hours → Edit**, select the days, change **From**, **To**, and the optional **Lunch break**, then choose **Apply to N days**. The selected days are enabled and updated; unselected days keep their settings. Open **Work Hours → Edit → Timezone** if your work location changes.

## Can I turn it off anytime?

To stop scheduled availability now, open **Dashboard** and turn the main **Work Hours** switch off. Your hours stay saved. You can also disable an individual day or disconnect using **Switch → Remove**. Signing out or closing the browser does not stop the schedule. To stop future subscription renewals, separately use the bottom-left account menu on a computer or **Profile** on a phone → **Manage subscription**, finish cancellation, and check the ending confirmation on Dashboard.

## Can I turn off the presence scheduler instantly?

To stop scheduled availability now, open **Dashboard** and turn the main **Work Hours** switch off. Your hours stay saved. You can also disable an individual day or disconnect using **Switch → Remove**. Signing out or closing the browser does not stop the schedule. To stop future subscription renewals, separately use the bottom-left account menu on a computer or **Profile** on a phone → **Manage subscription**, finish cancellation, and check the ending confirmation on Dashboard.

## How quickly can I turn it off?

## Will my helpdesk stop assigning tickets during lunch?

No. **Lunch break** pauses Idle Pilot’s availability maintenance only; it does not control your helpdesk or ticket assignments. Set it under **Dashboard → Work Hours → Edit → Lunch break**, review the days and work window, set **Break start** and **Break end**, and choose **Apply to N days**. Arrange queue coverage and handoffs separately.

## Will it change presence automatically when I join a sales call?

No. Idle Pilot follows saved **Work Hours** and the optional lunch break; joining a call is not an Idle Pilot scheduling trigger. When unavailable, turn **Dashboard → Work Hours** off before choosing a workplace status, and turn it back on when reachable. Signing out alone does not pause the schedule.
