Microsoft Teams shows green when your presence is Available. You can select Available manually, keep a device awake, or use a cloud schedule. The first two still depend on Teams running through an active device session. Idle Pilot makes availability follow the Work Hours you choose instead of laptop activity.

Keep Teams active with the laptop closed or off
A local keep-awake tool cannot run on a powered-off laptop. After the first desktop connection, Idle Pilot runs your Work Hours on its servers. The schedule continues when the laptop closes. It does not make a green dot evidence of work or guarantee that your employer permits the connection.

Available is the green Microsoft Teams status
Microsoft Teams presence is the availability state shown beside your profile. Available is the green state. It is separate from the custom status message you can write for coworkers. Idle Pilot manages presence during the Work Hours you choose; it does not write messages or change what you tell your team.
A schedule does not make every Teams signal disappear: calls, meetings, calendar state, and organization settings can still affect what coworkers see. Idle Pilot's job is specific—it maintains your Available presence during the hours you configured instead of relying on laptop activity.

How can I stay online on Teams?
While you are working, use Teams normally and correct a wrong status by selecting Available. For saved work hours with the laptop closed or off, connect Teams to Idle Pilot once and set your schedule. It runs from the cloud.
Can Idle Pilot keep Teams green when my laptop is closed or off?
Yes. Idle Pilot runs from the cloud during your scheduled hours, so your Teams availability does not depend on the laptop remaining open, awake, online, or powered on.
Does keeping Teams open on my phone keep me active?
Microsoft says Teams shows Away when the mobile app is in the background. An open phone app is not a guarantee of all-day availability. Idle Pilot does not require the phone app or laptop to stay open after setup.
Why does Microsoft Teams show me as Away?

No. Idle Pilot is limited to presence. It does not read chats, DMs, channels, teams, files, or other Microsoft Teams content.
How long does Teams stay green?
There is no universal timer that covers every device and session. Microsoft says Teams changes to Away when a desktop is idle, locked, or asleep, and when the mobile app is in the background. A status duration cannot be set for Available.
Can I schedule different Teams availability hours for each day?
Yes. Work Hours can have different start and end times for each enabled day. You can also add an optional Lunch Break, turn individual days off, and use Vacation Mode to pause scheduled presence when an out-of-office status is detected.
How quickly can I stop or change it?
Pause Idle Pilot, update the schedule, or disconnect Microsoft Teams from the dashboard. The controls take effect immediately.
