Presence Only
Idle Pilot is designed to manage availability and nothing else. It does not read, send, or modify platform messages or files.
No Content Access
The connection is limited to the account information and presence behavior needed to operate your schedule.
User-Controlled Rules
You choose Work Hours, breaks, Vacation Mode, and when to pause or disconnect Idle Pilot.
Encrypted Connection
Data transmitted between your browser, our servers, and the connected platform uses TLS encryption.
Minimal Data Storage
We store only what is necessary: your email, connected account basics, and schedule settings.
Instant Disconnect
You can disconnect the active platform and delete your account at any time. We immediately stop presence activity.

Treat requested access, browser permissions, and company policy as part of the product comparison
Ask what data is actually required
A presence-only tool should be able to explain why it needs each account field. Treat requests to read messages, files, channels, or workspace-wide data as a red flag unless the feature clearly requires them.
Review browser access separately
An extension that can read and change data on every website has a broader risk surface than a setup-only helper. Check whether the extension is still needed after connection.
Assume sessions can be audited
No responsible tool can promise invisibility. Workspace admins or company security systems may be able to inspect sessions, network origins, apps, or device activity. Follow your employer's policies.

Honest information about how Idle Pilot appears in logs
We believe in transparency. Here is what your company IT department can see:
- Provider access logs
Workspace administrators or security systems may be able to inspect active platform sessions and related account activity.
- Provider-specific visibility
What appears in administrative tools depends on the connected provider and your organization's configuration.
- Session origin
If IT closely examines session details, they may see the connection originates from our cloud servers rather than your device. Please follow your company's policies.
Note: Idle Pilot is a tool for managing your own presence. You remain responsible for following your company's policies and the connected provider's terms.

Common questions about how we handle your data
Can Idle Pilot read my Slack or Microsoft Teams messages?
No. Idle Pilot only manages presence. It does not read messages, chats, channels, teams, DMs, files, or other platform content.
Does my company IT department see Idle Pilot?
Idle Pilot does not install a workspace app or bot, but that does not make it invisible. Workspace admins or company security systems may be able to inspect active sessions and see that a connection originates from cloud infrastructure. Follow your employer's policies and review the disclosures on this page before connecting.
What data do you store about me?
We store your email address, the connected account basics needed to identify it, and schedule settings such as Work Hours, timezone, and breaks. We do not store message content.
How does the Chrome extension work?
The Chrome extension is only used during supported initial setup flows. After connection, you can remove it. Idle Pilot runs from our cloud servers, not the extension.
Is my connected platform session secure?
Connection data is transmitted using TLS and stored in a secured database with restricted access. No system is 100% secure, so we limit access to what is needed to operate the service.
Can you access other users in my workspace?
No. Your Idle Pilot connection only has access to your own account. We cannot see or interact with other workspace members.
What happens when I disconnect or delete my account?
When you disconnect, we immediately stop all presence activity. When you delete your account, we remove all your data from our systems within 30 days.
Do you sell my data?
No. We do not sell, share, or monetize your data in any way. Our business model is simple: you pay for the service, we provide the service.
