With an active Freedom Pass, click your name/email at the bottom left on desktop and choose Referrals. On a phone, use Profile → Referrals. The dialog shows Your invite link, sharing/copy controls, the number of gifts remaining, and Friends you've invited.

How do I invite a friend?

Open Referrals and choose Copy link, then send that link to your friend using your preferred app. On supported phones, Share invite can open the device's share sheet. Ask the friend to start from your invite link so the invitation can be associated with their signup.

What do my friend and I get?

The referral screen describes a free month for the invited friend and a free month for you. The friend’s discount is worth one current monthly Freedom Pass price: it covers one monthly plan payment or reduces a yearly payment by that amount. Your reward is a credit worth one current monthly price in your billing currency, applied to your next bill after the friend’s first successful payment greater than zero, while your subscription is still active. It is not cash, and signup, connecting, copying a link, or a zero-total invoice do not earn it. Review the offer shown to your own account and the friend’s checkout total before purchasing.

How many referral gifts can I use?

The current program allows up to three successful referral gifts per eligible account. The dialog shows the remaining count. After the cap, it says You've used all 3 referrals. Unused invitations and completed/credited referrals are different stages.

Why is Referrals missing or locked?

It is available with an active paid Freedom Pass and remaining referral gifts. A free trial alone does not make the account eligible. If you see Available with Freedom Pass, check paid access; if you have reached the cap, the dialog explains it. Check that you are signed in to the intended Idle Pilot account before contacting Support.

What do Signed up, Activated, Paid, and Pending mean?

These indicate the friend's progress rather than separate rewards for every stage. Signed up means an account was created; Activated means a workplace connection was made; Paid means the friend made a successful payment greater than zero and your referral credit was issued. Pending means a reward has not yet been earned/applied. Look for +1 month earned before assuming your reward was granted.

Why has my friend signed up but I have no free month yet?

Your reward waits for the friend’s first successful payment greater than zero; signup, connection, and a zero-total first invoice do not qualify. Your own subscription must still be active when the reward is credited, and the three-gift cap still applies. Open Referrals → Friends you've invited and look for +1 month earned. If the qualifying payment completed and the result still seems wrong, contact Support with the invitation context; do not share the friend’s private account or card details.

Can I invite myself or create extra accounts for free months?

No. The terms prohibit creating multiple accounts for the same person, and self-referrals do not qualify. Referral eligibility must apply to a real invited friend. Do not assume a subscription or reward is transferable to another Idle Pilot account.

If sharing is unsupported or fails, use Copy link. If copying fails, select the visible invite link and copy it manually. Closing a share sheet without sending is not a completed invite and does not earn a reward.

I received an invite. How do I use it?

Open the invite link and continue with the Idle Pilot email you intend to keep. If the app shows Free month unlocked. Applied at checkout., review the eventual checkout to confirm that the offer is present before subscribing. A friend sending you a link does not itself confirm an applied discount or a reward for either person.

I received a return or reconnect offer. How do I use it?

Open your own offer link, sign in with the email it was sent to, and follow the displayed action. It may say Reconnect and claim, Claim 50% off, or ask you to connect a workplace to start an offered trial. Review the exact benefit, duration, and checkout total shown. Offers can be account-specific; do not assume another person's offer applies to you.

What if an offer is expired, already used, or unavailable?

Follow the message shown and choose Choose Freedom Pass, Return to Idle Pilot, or Try again when offered. Regular Monthly/Yearly options can remain available even when that particular offer is not. Ask Support if you believe the message is wrong; creating extra accounts or repeatedly opening the same expired link does not establish eligibility.

Will a personal offer automatically cancel my current subscription?

Do not assume so. Check Manage subscription for your current subscription and review any checkout/change confirmation. A promotional email, a copied code, or opening an offer page is not itself a confirmed cancellation, refund, or plan change.

How much commission do I earn?

The published affiliate program pays 30% of payments actually collected during each qualifying customer’s first 12 months. Monthly and annual purchases can qualify. Refunded, charged-back, or fraudulent payments do not earn commission. These are affiliate-program terms, separate from the ordinary customer referral gift.

What does my audience receive?

The affiliate page offers your audience 30% off during its first year: the first 12 monthly payments or the first annual payment. New users can also start the no-card trial; the standard trial is 3 days, or 7 when the first connection succeeds within 3 hours of signup. The discount and account eligibility should be checked in the customer’s actual checkout.

What counts as a qualifying customer?

For the affiliate program, it is a new user who arrives through your Affiliate Link, starts a trial, and becomes a paying monthly or annual customer. Refunded, charged-back, or fraudulent payments do not earn commission. An ordinary friend referral and an affiliate application are separate programs.

How does attribution work?

The published affiliate attribution window is 60 days. If someone visits more than one affiliate link, the last valid link gets credit. Credit is fixed when the trial starts; later clicks do not replace it. Use the Affiliate Link you receive after approval, rather than assuming an ordinary referral link is an affiliate link.

Who can apply?

Creators, YouTube channels, influencers, newsletters, remote-work communities, blogs, publishers, directories, and toolkit owners can apply. Open https://idlepilot.com/affiliate/#apply, enter Name, Email, and YouTube channel, site, or community URL, then choose Send my application. Applications are reviewed by a person. The page does not set a public minimum audience size or guarantee approval.

Do I need to be an Idle Pilot customer?

You do not need to be a customer to apply for the affiliate program. Approved affiliates receive complimentary Freedom Pass access while the partnership remains active. That is an approved-partner benefit, not automatic free access for anyone who opens the affiliate page or submits a form.

How and when are commissions paid?

The published program says monthly, using a payment method arranged with you by email. It does not publish a universal payout day, threshold, or payment method. Ask in the approved partnership email conversation or contact Support if you need the details for your own arrangement.

How can I promote Idle Pilot?

Use your own videos, descriptions, pinned comments, blog posts, toolkits, newsletters, or legitimate community participation. Clearly disclose the affiliate relationship, use your approved Affiliate Link, and keep claims accurate. Do not promise workplace invisibility, features the app does not offer, or benefits absent from the published offer.

Is the affiliate program the same as inviting a friend?

No. Referrals inside your paid account is the ordinary friend-invitation program with free-month rewards and its displayed limit. The affiliate program at https://idlepilot.com/affiliate/ is an application-based partnership with an approved Affiliate Link and separate commission/discount terms. Copying a referral link does not make you an approved affiliate.

How do I know my affiliate application was sent?

Complete Name, Email, and the channel/site/community URL on the affiliate page, choose Send my application, and wait for the success message. Approval and the Affiliate Link come later by email after review. If We could not send your application. Please try again. appears, correct any marked fields, check your connection, and retry. Do not assume a failed submission was accepted or that submitting means automatic approval.
